In the autumn of 1989, Leipzig's Monday demonstrations developed their own momentun which ultimately contributed towards toppling the Socialist Unity Party of Germany´s regime in the GDR. Learn more about the events of that time and visit the originally preserved rooms of the former "Leipzig District Admiinistration for State Security" in the present-day "Museum in der Runden Ecke" (Museum in the Round Corner, "Stasimuseum") or the exhibition in the Forum of Contemporary History during the course of a guided tour.
